The Blue Line of Injustice
“No peace, no justice
No mercy for the innocent
Exterminate the unwanted

When I drive to work, I am blinded by these eyesores on flagpoles and police cruisers and bumper stickers. You’ve probably seen them:
Sorry, wait, that’s the wrong flag. Let me start over.
I meant this one:
Every single day, my commute is graced by these terrible perversions of the star spangled banner which once supposedly represented the fifty United States and “the 13 original colonies that joined together to declare their independence from Britain in order to establish themselves as a sovereign nation.”(1)
Once upon a time, the American flag literally stood for rebellion and right to self-determination. Now it stands for boot licking and copsucking.
Symbols change, I understand. I guess the new spirit of the Old Glory is coherent, given that at any moment the stars and stripes are painted on a plane dropping bombs on a wedding, hospital, or school somewhere in the world.
In order to better understand what this modern Hakenkreuzflagge embodies, we should decode the nuances behind the terms “The Thin Blue Line” and “Police”.
I’ll accept Wikipedia’s definition that “the blue center line represents law enforcement, the top black stripe represents the public and the bottom represents the criminals.”(2) I don’t find it coincidence that the protected half of the flag contains the stars of the states of the union.(3)
The “thin blue line” term comes from a prosecutor Doug Mulder who made a speech posturing that “police that separate the public from anarchy”.(4) For the same case, Doug Mulder was “reprimanded by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals for proscecutorial misconduct” and the death sentence of the defendant was overturned.(5)
Let me repeat that: The moniker “The Thin Blue Line” was coined by a prosecutor who suppressed evidence, deceived a jury, and utilized perjured testimony while advocating the murder of an innocent man.
What about the word “Police”? The etymology of the word “Police” comes from the middle ages and literally means “the regulation and control of a community”.(6) That’s what “Police” meant in the time of witch burnings, the Black Death, and feudal lords and kings. No service, no protection, none of that propaganda. To black people in the Ante-Bellum South, “police” meant “slave patroller”.(7) It still does, but the public mission statement has changed a little, even if the badges haven’t.
Guaranteed, slaves did not thank their overseers/officers(8) for protecting them. So why do Americans? Brainwashing. To quote Lew Rockwell:
“It isn't a coincidence that governments everywhere want to educate children. Government education, in turn, is supposed to be evidence of the state's goodness and its concern for our well-being. The real explanation is less flattering. If the government's propaganda can take root as children grow up, those kids will be no threat to the state apparatus. They'll fasten the chains to their own ankles.”(9)
When the cop comes to school teach DARE, to search lockers, to try and recruit children, they are conditioning them to authority.
So what can Americans do if they really want to “Make America great again!”?
Start by realizing the government views you as serfs and property. State abuse will make more sense when you realize that, as Tupac said: “They don't give a fuck about us”.
