Militia Madness: Why They Don't Exist To Protect Our Rights

This past year alone police have killed over 800 civilians. Last year, the final number was 986. Among the dead are women, children, mentally handicapped, & military veterans. Where was the militia when people took to the streets, crying for justice for those deaths?

Where were they when Tamir Rice was gunned down in a park or when John Crawford was murdered while shopping at Walmart? Need I even question their absence during the October 28th Unity March in Columbus, when police acted aggressively, even moving their horses into a crowd and pepper spraying people who were peacefully assembling?

Truth is, the militia will not save you or protect you. They claim to exist to protect the people, but are full of cops and cowards. I wish I were wrong. I wish we could count on trained professionals to show up to a rally for a murdered black boy, instead a march for Lavoy Finicum, who was killed after fleeing from police, blowing through a barricade (nearly hitting a cop), then jumping out of his SUV and reaching into his pocket like he's reaching for a gun. I wish the people could have an armed wing composed of military veterans of all races & ethnicity that help provide training, security and council for those who seek it, but that is just wishful thinking. The reality of it all is that Americans are too divided, and the presence of the militia at the MMM yesterday made that very clear.

I'm sure many will get butt-hurt and attempt to justify the militias actions or lack thereof, so I'll leave you with one final question. Why did the right-wing militant groups support the Bundy's, but can't be bothered to lend support to those protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline?

The 2nd Amendment exists to protect the citizens' 1st Amendment rights, but they weren't there to provide security, just another opportunity for them to attempt to justify their existence.
