As ABC 6 Columbus reports:

The shooting on October 13 injured two students. Daeqwan Brown and Deywon Vinson, both 16, are being charged with felonious assault for the crime.

Former student John Davis says he wants people to leave tonight's rally with a positive message.

"It starts with the community. If they come back and connect with the kids more. I feel like they'll feel like they got a lot of love coming back to them," Davis said.

A parade followed the rally. Police planned to beef up security at Friday's game as a result of the violence.

This is another example of how young people are taking a leading role in today's political arena. Despite fears and violence, these students lead a rally for peace. Just over a week ago two of their fellow classmates were shot by other students, yet these high school students felt it to be necessary to hold this event.
