Indiana bus driver was arrested on charges of child exploitation
Timothy Poteat, a 43-year-old bus driver in Bloomington, Indiana, was arrested October 18th as part of a child pornography investigation. Local police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children earlier in October.
That tip along with uncovered evidence lead investigators to Poteat's home in Monroe Co., Indiana. Police executed a search warrent on Poteat's home where they seized several computers, phones, and storage devices. These electronics are believed to contain evidence and will be examined.
As WTHR 13 reported:
Poteat has driven a school bus for Monroe County schools since March 2015. He is being held at the Monroe County Jail on a preliminary charge of child exploitation.

"As you know, the safety and security of our children is our first priority. It is with great sadness that we have been made aware of an arrest of an Monroe County Community School Corporation bus driver yesterday evening by the Bloomington Police Department. We are ready to assist the BPD in any way possible. Again, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority."
